FAQ

Eligibility

Only one application for any individual can be made in any 12-month period.

In most cases the amount of the grant will only be a contribution towards the expenses to be incurred. You will need to include in your application details of funds you have already raised and how you intend to raise further funds, if necessary.

Organisation

This is possible in exceptional circumstances. The Committee will try to consider such cases, but cannot guarantee to meet a specific deadline. If urgent consideration is required, please make this clear on your application, and state the reasons for this.

Grants are paid by cheque, normally made payable to the applicant or their nominated carer/guardian. You should clearly state on your application form who the cheque should be made payable to if not to yourself, and the reason for this. Please allow 14 days for the cheque to reach you following notification of a successful application.

Each application is reviewed by the Clerk of the Charity, who may approach you for further information if necessary. All applications are then brought to the next meeting of the Committee, which consists of a quorum of available Trustees of the Charity. The names of the Trustees can be found on the Charity Commission website. The decision of the Committee is final.

You will receive an email no later than 7 days from the date on which the Committee meets.
